Currently in pre-production, Eyes Down is a 4 minute short film that depicts MARY, (60s), a trans woman early in her transition on her maiden journey on the Glasgow Subway system.
The aim of the project is to position audiences on the side of main character Mary, and to bring representation of trans-people in Scotland to the screen. The project shows that even though someone is living their truth, they can still be in need of inclusion and friendship to make them feel accepted and valued.
The short will take place on a Glasgow subway carriage and will include several main actors and background artists. We are planning to shoot in late summer 2019 on location in Glasgow.
We are currently raising funds for the production; making films is a costly business, even 4-minute films! We are aiming to use every penny we earn on the screen to portray this short, sweet and socially important story. None of the crew or actors will receive any payment for this film, they are doing it out of their passion and love of storytelling and their commitment to the issues portrayed.
