Charlotte Daniel

Charlotte is an independent writer and director from Scotland. She has recently finished her first short CARMEN, a 7 minute self-funded short in the vain of ‘BLACK MIRROR’. CARMEN saw Charlotte gain two nominations at the 2019 Scottish Short Film Festival for ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Script’. She is now in pre-production of her second short, ‘EYES DOWN’, a four minute narrative drama centered on a Trans-Woman’s journey on a Glasgow Train.

Charlotte studied Film Production at the University of Westminster, graduating in 2012 where she then began her career in the Location Department in the UK Film and Television Production Industry. She worked as an Assistant Location Manager and Unit Manager on titles such as MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5: ROGUE NATION, BOURNE, THE HUNTSMAN and ON CHESIL BEACH.

She moved to Australia in 2016 and began working on productions such as PETER RABBIT, and THE NIGHTINGALE before being hired by Aquarius Films (LION, BERLIN SYNDROME, DIRT MUSIC) as a Producer’s Assistant, working across their slate in a development capacity.
